Che Fei


Che Fei is registered architect in Germany.He received architectural and design training as bachelor from Central Academy of Arts and Design in Beijing. He was studying Architecture in Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany, and he received his master degree of architecture in Dessau architecture institute (Hochschule Anhalt), Germany, and PhD from Bauhaus Weimar University. He worked in ROB KRIER?CHRISTOPH KOHL Architectural design office in Berlin. In 2007, he with Zhang Xuefeng established his practice CU OFFICE in Beijing, considered as one of the innovative architects in China, realizing some notable civic, cultural, residential and interior projects. In 2008, he with Zhang Xuefeng established gallery CU SPACE in 798 art zone Beijing, considered as an international pool for artists and architects and designers.


In 2010, Che Fei was nominated for young architect prize of China Architecture Media Award and his project Minle settlement reconstruction after the 5.12 earthquake was nominated for residential building prize of China Architecture Media Award. He is the Member of Urban Planning Expert Commission of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. He was also as a curator contributing for the Architecture Biennial Beijing 2004 and 2006. He has been also the curator of a series of 798 architectural forums. Since 2007, he has been teaching in BIFT design academy in Beijing guiding a series of urban study workshops. As a theory writer, he published his first book in China in 2009, which is an over-600-page Book: CONCUSSION, his writings have been published in various professional publications and journals.



Zhang Xuefeng


Zhang Xuefeng is registered landscape architect in Germany, one of the founder of CU Office. She received her bachelor of landscape architecture from South China University of Tropical Agriculture and the master degree of landscape architecture in Anhalt University, Germany. She worked in German Landscape Offices for years, participating in and finishing projects, such as the Courtyard of National Museum China, Jincheng Children’s Park, Conceptual Planning of Donghu Lake Wuhan.
In 2008, she with Che Fei established gallery CU SPACE in 798 art zone Beijing, considered as an international pool of artists, architects, designers.

Peter Li


Peter Li is registered engineer in the United States. He is member of American Society of Civil Engineers and member of New York Structural Engineers. He received his bachelor of civil engineering in Polytechnic University, China, his master’s degree of civil engineering in Xian Institute of Metallurgy and Construction Engineering, China and his PhD of civil engineering in Lehigh University, the USA. From 1995 to 2002, he was a board member in Chinese American Association of Engineers. He worked in Arup, Meinhardt USA PC, Einhorn Yaffee Prescott as well as Leslie E. Robertson Associates.


Peter Li’s main focus is structural design and he has led the structural design of many large and prestigious building projects in the States and throughout the world. He was until very recently the leading structural engineer on the several large projects over 500,000 square meter. He has received many awards for elegant and innovative structural design. He has led our input on a variety of exciting structures ranging from high-rise buildings, long-span structures, glass roofs, and tension structures. His work has included extensive use of non-linear analysis to achieve simple elegant designs in complex situations. As a structural engineer and project manager, he is involved in a broad range of building projects, from concept design through construction administration. He has great experiences in the management of the large size of the development including office, hotel, commercial and residential developments. In addition to his management skill, he has been leading the design of the projects in US, China, Korea and other international projects. He is familiar with the design codes, design procedure and local regulations in China and the US. His skill in high-rise and advanced geometric shape buildings and in seismic area ensures the high efficient design is delivered to meet and exceed the client’s expectation. He has been working with a lot of world well-known architects in various projects around the world and appreciated for his knowledge and professional services to the projects.
