The design idea of bottle brick is from the ecological crisis in countryside of China. Billions of mineral water bottles are consumed every year in China. Most of them are not recycled, especially critical in the rural area. This causes dramatically large number of waste and pollution. The best way reducing the resources waste and environmental destruction is recycling of the bottles. This is the goal to design the bottle brick.
The petal-shaped water bottle is connected by mortise-and-tenon joints, able to form any structures of arbitrary shapes. This can save package and stacked space, and also can be used as building unit. Once the bottle brick is put into mass use, it can not only decrease the impact of environmental damage but contribute to multiuse unit after disaster.
